Google Sheet Template with Multi-Language Translation - 5 Core Languages (EN,DE,JA,ZH,HI)

Give your spreadsheet the advantage of being available in multiple languages simply and quickly. Using this template, create your spreadsheet in Google Sheets and then translate it to another language......and back again. The template includes a Core 5-language set (EN, DE, JA, ZH, HI) but other versions including regional language packs (~ 20 languages) are available. Available packs include North America, Europe, Asia / Middle East, Australia / Pacific and Africa. Custom language packs may be available on request.

With the template your Google Sheet gets a new menu item "Language" that when selected reveals "Tools" and a list of installed Languages. Selecting a language in the list triggers translation of all text and tab names to that language (does not translate or change formulae). Since your Google Sheet builds and saves its own dictionary while on Drive, when the Google Sheet is downloaded as standalone Excel file the dictionary is retained and text translation capability remains.

NB: While Google Sheets have full functionality editing and translation, downloaded Excel files have some translation related limitations: 1) Existing text will translate but edited text will not result in updated translation (ie the dictionary is offline in Excel) 2) Sheet Names do not translate (eg they will display in the language that was set at time of download)
